Who knew that being home from college would find me busier than when I was there?  I've had very little down time, what with work and the Art Feeds Internship, and spending time catching up with family and friends! So, here's a little up-to-date on my life lately!

Hello Summer!

For the last day of my freshman year of college, Mark and I decided to celebrate! (It was also our 11 months!)  We went to the mall, the national park, and then walked around Phoenixville!  We found this wonderful antiques and local art shop. Then we went to a chocolate shop. I got a toffee pretzel and Mark chose chocolate almond bark.  It was so nice! It just made me so incredibly excited for what this summer holds; baseball games, swimming, picnics, and walks through the woods. I also cannot wait to spend time with my family and go to the beach!

Mother's Day!

Today is Mother's Day! I love my mom. She is the prettiest, sweetest, hardest working mom ever :) (of course, I'm obligated to say so because I'm a bit bias!) Nathanael and I made her breakfast in bed and then she opened her handmade cards and bookmarks (as well as gift cards to Ulta and Coldstone!)  Enjoy time spent with your mommas! (and Mother's, be sure to get lots of pampering!)

The Opera!

I am so incredibly excited for one of my best friends, Anna, who is in an opera called Brundibar this Sunday! She plays one of the children named Aninka. Read more about it here! It's totally free (first come, first serve!) So, if you're in the area, come check it out! :) I am so so proud of her! 

Tea, With Friends.

So the other night, I had a few ladies over to my dorm to have some tea and cookies and get some studying done for finals. Needless to say, it just turned into an hour and a half of chatting and catching up!
And while it was a little sad to be in a room so bare, (I was already starting to pack to go home for summer break) I had a splendid time!

First Stop, Textbooks. Destination, Finals Week.

Finals week is quickly approaching, and let me tell you a bucket of stress comes right along with it! It can be hard to prioritize things, especially with a new job and homework that still needs to get done. Where is there time to study? Take heart, college student! There is encouragement. First, look at these lovely photos and smile.

Are you smiling? Ok good. Now, read these verses: "It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect." 2 Samuel 22:33

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

Feel any better? Take a deep breath. Look that textbook in the eye (or page..) and tackle it, one chapter at a time! And don't forget to sleep. Sleep is good too!
